Alpha School plans to open a K-8 campus in The Woodlands for the 2026-2027 school year. The campus at 2000 Woodlands Parkway will take up about 8,000 square feet, with open workshop areas and flexible classrooms.

The school uses AI software to adjust academic content to each student's pace and ability level. The curriculum mixes standard academics with leadership and life skills. Alpha School says the approach has worked well at its other campuses. Classes will be small.

The Woodlands area already has several private and alternative school options, but families here have mostly stuck with Conroe ISD's public schools, which are well-regarded. More parents nationally have been looking at non-traditional schools since the pandemic, especially ones that lean on technology.

Enrollment opens in the spring for kindergarten through eighth grade. The Woodlands location will be one of a handful of Alpha School campuses in Texas. Administrators expect strong interest given how many families with school-age kids live in the area.
